If I'm going to make it writing, I need to write more. Its as simple as that. And so, in the spirit of the New Year, and all its obligatory oddities despite the fact that its just another day, I'm setting up a 2015 resolution. In 2015 I'm going to write a short story every week. They don't have to be amazing, they just have to be done. Each one is an opportunity to get better and write less shitty.
I'm going to be honest. I stole this idea. Its from Jonathan Coulton's Thing a Week, but with short stories instead of music and the fact that he's talented. Anyway; that's what I'm going to do. There will be at least 50 (cause I missed a couple of weeks) short stories written this year. Minimum of 1000 words, no maximum. They just need to be done in a week. This is to say nothing of the novel that I'm going to finish. We're aiming big over here. You should check it out. Its going to be pretty cool.
Also; we could totally start a hashtag about it #50storiesin2015
Get on it!
